Identify concerns around a child’s safety and wellbeing.
Ask the right questions in the right way to ascertain the facts.
Using their professional judgement our staff determine any risk to a child.
Contact their Line Manager or authorised Family Works upper South island representative to decide what to do to inform the next steps that will help keep the child safe.
Contact the appropriate agencies where there is serious concerns for a child’s safety and wellbeing.
Ensure follow up with the family and agencies involved.
